Class Times

Mondays: 10-11:30am, 12-1:30pm, 2-3:30pm, 4-5:30pm, 6-7:30pm

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 8:30-10am, 6-7:30pm

Fridays & Saturdays: 8:30-10am, 3-4:40pm

We take a mix and match approach to scheduling classes... you tell us what you want to do, which time slot fits in your schedule, and we make it happen! We also schedule various open group project classes in some of these time slots. These classes are listed on our store calendar and also posted on social media. If you'd like to do a project class solo or with a small group of your own peeps, that's fine too! Just call the shop and we will schedule a time!

Class Information for Beginners

Learn to Crochet - Learn the basics of crochet including chain stitch, single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet stitches. You will also learn how to change colors and read a simple pattern. This class is offered in 2 - 1.5 hour sessions for a total of 3 hours. Cost is $50. Yarn is included, you can bring your own Size H/5mm hook or purchase one before class starts. You will have homework between classes! Success in the 2nd session requires building on what you learned in the 1st class. NOTE: This is not a project class! You will not go home with a finished item however you will learn the skills needed to create your own starter project!

Learn to Knit - Learn the basics of knitting including cast on, knit stitch, purl stitch, changing colors, cast off and reading a simple pattern. This class is offered in 2 - 1.5 hour sessions for a total of 3 hours. Cost is $50. Yarn is included, you can bring your own size 10 straight knitting needles or purchase a set before class starts. You will have homework between classes! Success in the 2nd session requires building on what you learned in the 1st class. NOTE: This is not a project class! You will not go home with a finished item however you will learn the skills needed to create your own starter project!

Refresher Class (knitting or crochet) - Do you already know how to knit or crochet but it’s been a while since you’ve used your skills? This class is for you! Brush up on the basic skills taught in the 101 classes but in half the time! Refresher classes are done in 1 - 1.5 hour session. Cost is $25. Yarn is included, you can bring your own Size 10 straight knitting needles or Size H/5mm hook. Supplies are also available for purchase before class starts.

Beginner Class Policies:

We prefer to teach beginners one at a time! That being said, if you want to bring a friend, that's OK too however, maximum class size for beginner classes is 3… trust me on this one!
Payment is due for the ENTIRE class at the start of the first class. In the event that you have to miss a class I will gladly reschedule or issue store credit. Refunds will only be given if I have to cancel the class.
Learning to knit and crochet requires A LOT of patience and practice… do not expect to leave a beginner class and be a perfect stitcher! I will teach you the skills, but you need to invest the time!
Once you complete a beginner class, your next class is 50% off! You will receive a coupon in your class packet.

Design Your Own Class!

A La Carte Class - Do you already know how to knit and crochet but need help getting started reading that great pattern you found on Ravelry? Did someone leave you a huge stash of yarn and you don't know what to do with it? Are you stuck on a new stitch and just can't seem to get it right? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this is the class for you! For $20/hr, you can have my undivided attention and we will design a class to get you the assistance you need!

Learn a Skill Classes - Knitting

CC Beanie - Learn how to make a hat 'in the round' using circular and double point needles! This class is held in 2 - 1.5 hr sessions (total of 3 hrs) for a cost of $40 plus supplies (approx $20). You will learn to cast on using the German Twisted Cast On method and complete as much as we can in Class 1. There is homework! Class 2 starts with the crown decreases so you will will need to complete your hat up to that point at home before the 2nd class! The yarn used for this class is a 100% Chunky Merino Wool that is SO soft and squishy. AND you can put it in the washer and dryer!!! You will also need a size 10 - 16 in circular needle as well as a set of size 10 double point needles. You may bring your own or purchase from me prior to class. Pom poms are optional and may be purchased separately.

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER CLASS! Speed is not required however you need to be proficient at knits and purls to be successful in this class.

Cable Headband - Welcome to the wonderful world of cables! This class is a great introduction to cabling and results in a beautiful headband... all of your friends are going to want to know where you got it! This class is held in 1 - 1.5 hr session for a cost of $25 plus supplies (approx $20). The yarn used for this class is a 100% Superwash Merino Wool, available in many colors. You will also need a size 9 set of single points or circular needle and a cable needle. You may bring your own or purchase from me prior to class. This class also requires the purchase of a pattern at an additional cost of $1.50 (as of March 2023).

NOTE 1: THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER CLASS! Speed is not required however you need to be proficient at knits and purls to be successful in this class.

NOTE 2: You will not finish this project in the time allowed for the class. If you need additional assistance at any time, let me know!

Learn a Skill Classes - Crochet

Apple/Pear Amigurumi Class: Are you familiar with the term 'Amigurumi'? Amigurumi is the Japanese art of creating small, stuffed yarn creatures and let me tell you... it is addicting! If you've ever wanted to learn, this is the class for you! I will teach you the basic skills required, including magic loop, increases and decreases, and you will go home with a fun piece of fruit! This class consists of 2 - 1.5 hour sessions. The cost is $40, yarn included. You may bring your own size D crochet hook or purchase one from me. Choose between and apple or a pear.

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER CLASS! Speed is not required however you need to be proficient at making single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet stitches to be successful in this class.

Project Classes - Knit

Simple Knit Cowl - This class is held in 1 - 1.5 hr session for a cost of $20 plus supplies (approx $23 for yarn and needles). The yarn used for this class is a 100% Merino Wool, available in many colors. You will also need a size 11 (for a tighter knit) or 13 (for a slightly looser knit) set of single points or circular needle. You may bring your own or purchase from me prior to class. You will also need a shawl pin to complete this project. We have an assortment of pins available ranging in price from $7-$18 (less 25% discount - one item limit!)

Revival Ear Warmer - Are you a fan of headbands? Well this one is a 4-4.5 inch wide headband on steroids, guaranteed to keep your ears warm on the coldest of winter days! You can choose from 2 different Malabrigo Yarns, Rasta or Noventa (this one is a superwash!), both 100% hand-dyed Merino Wool. Both yarns are shown in the picture to the left, Rasta is pictured in the center and Noventa to the right. Rasta is a #6 Super Bulky weight and Noventa a #5 Chunky weight. You have a choice of making your headband with 2 colors (pictured on the display stands) or the 3 color Buffalo Bills inspired red, white and blue version. Color choices for the 2 color version are shown below. You will need to pick your colors when you call to schedule so we can have your kit ready before class.

The cost of this class is $20 for a 1.5-2 hour session. The yarn kit is an additional $15 ($5 off the kit cost if purchased separately). You will also need a 16 in. Circular needle, #13 if using Rasta or #11 if using Noventa. You can bring your own or purchase one before class (approx $5-12).

** You will also be required to purchase the pattern used for this class from Etsy or Ravelry at a cost of $5.50 (as of 11/8/23). You need to do this beforehand and bring it to class with you. If you do not have this capability, call the shop (or you can use cash if you come in person) and we can do it for you... we will need your email and credit card # to do so! The name of the pattern is Revival Headband by Collette Smith (HoneyStitchco)

NOTE: THIS IS NOT A BEGINNER CLASS! Speed is not required however you need to be proficient at knits and purls to be successful in this class. This headband is knit in the round and uses KfB and P2tog stitches, which can be shown to you during class.
