From Malabrigo Website: Noventa is made of 100% Superwash Merino wool and comes with our particular singly ply twist. This provides the yarn with a slightly irregular texture which, along with a hand-dyed technique, produce a very complete product. The palette is quite bright and traslucid due to our dyeing techniques and the superwash process. We present a color card containing our classic and well known colors along with eight new ones that make their debut with this yarn (shown on this page). Beware! If you knit too quickly, it may not last!

When we dye our yarns, the same formula is used each time but every batch of yarn may vary. The differences from one dye lot to another can be very subtle, or extremely noticeable, specially on variegated yarns. After our quality control team checks the skeins, they go to the labeling section and then are put in bags of five or ten (depending on the yarn). Once the bags get to the yarn stores, most skeins go to different shelves where they can get mixed.
